OUTLINE OF THE WESTMINSTER
CONFESSION OF FAITH
CHAPTER ELEVEN
OF JUSTIFICATION
By Israel J. Contreras

I. How Justification works out

        A. Not by infusing righteousness into them

        B. But by imputing the obedience of Christ unto them

        C. By them receiving and resting on Him and His righteousness by faith

II. Faith alone but not a faith that is alone

III. Justification found in God's wrath and God's grace

        A. Christ received God's wrath by fully discharging the debt of all who are justified

        B. God's elect receive grace

IV. The elect justified only in due time when the Holy Spirit doth
      actually apply Christ to them.

V. Forgiveness

        A. God continues to forgive the sins of those that are
             justified.

        B. No one falls from justification

        C. God's elect may fall under his displeasure and not have the light of his countenance restored unto them
until the humble themselves and confess their sins.

VI. Justification in the NT is the same as justification in the OT.
