CHAPTER THIRTY TWO
OF THE STATE OF MEN AFTER DEATH,
AND OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD

I. Of The Souls of Men after Death

        A. Their souls never die, nor sleep and return to God who gave them.

        B. The Souls of the Righteous being made perfect in holiness, are received in the heavens where they behold
             the face of God, in light and glory, waiting for the full redemption of their bodies.

        C. The Souls of the Wicked are cast into hell where they remain in torments and utter darkness, reserved to
             the judgment of the last day.

        D. The Scripture acknowledges no other place for souls separated from their bodies.

II. The last day as it pertains to the souls of men

        A. Those found alive shall not die but be changed

        B. All the dead shall be raised up with the same bodies, although their bodies will have different
             characteristics, which shall be reunited to their souls.

II. The bodies of the just and the unjust

        A. The bodies of the unjust, by the power of Christ shall be raised to dishonor.

        B. The bodies of the just

                1. Raised by the Spirit of Christ unto honour

                2. Made conformable to His Christ's own glorious body
